LA! The models return home to see Will’s face plastered on the screen. Raelia gives him a hug before Will celebrates in the confessional. He invites Raelia to join him in the Tyra Suite. Apparently they are best friends. Then Ben strolls in and plops down on a chaise, saying he doesn’t know what’s going on in his head. Must. Resist. Dumb. Model. Jokes. Oh, wait, Ben’s just there to get his stuff since he was the last resident of the Tyra Suite. Ben thinks Will’s his biggest competition.
In their room, Matthew talks with an upset Lenox. We get a flashback to last week’s panel and what was up with that braid in Tyra’s hair? Lenox says Tyra was pretty clear she didn’t want Lenox there. Matthew says she missed the point. Tyra wants her to try. Matthew says that Lenox could win the competition and decides to keep an eye on her. He also knows she will be her own worst enemy. He asks her who she misses the most and she says her mom. Lenox’s father died during casting week and she wants to win the money to help her family. She’s still worried about the five frame thing.
With Romeo gone, some remodeling goes on. Namely, Kari and Keith form a new bed for themselves while Mirjana makes a new bed for her and Denzel. We get to see Romeo’s headbutt again before Mirjana says they set up their “Lover’s Suite.” Keith is more secretive about his relationship while Mirjana announces she and Denzel are dating. They go to sleep.
Wanna be on top?
The model mobile takes our contestants to Quixote Studios. Yu Tsai tells them they will be shooting a hair editorial. Everyone is getting weaves and extensions—don’t worry, Keith. Yu Tsai successful models have to pull off many different looks. And they will be catching them whipping their hair in motion. Like…the…credits? Tyra, you running out of ideas? Their photographer is Massimo Campana. He tells them that every frame counts. “Especially for you, Lenox,” he says. She nods. Yu Tsai sends them to hair and make up.
Keith asks for the red head we…PUPPY! There’s a puppy wearing a mohawk. I guess that’s Yu Tsai’s puppy? Anyway, he says Mirjana has a glow and asks her what’s going on. She says she’s doing good and feeling happy. Yu Tsai thinks someone is keeping her happy. Mirjana says she does like Denzel…but she hasn’t broken up with her boyfriend yet. She decides to write a “Dear John” letter. It’s moments like this that remind me she’s younger than she looks. (Not that she looks old. I’m just saying she probably doesn’t get carded even though she’s only 18).
Meanwhile, Kari talks to Denzel about his relationship. He says he didn’t know they were dating. Kari says Denzel needs to think about Mirjana’s feelings after this competition. She tells Denzel she wants to come to the wedding but Denzel’s not rushing to put any labels on their relationship as Mirjana is still with her boyfriend.
Adam shares a kiss with the puppy! And Will’s not thrilled with his long hair. But Yu Tsai reminds us everyone got long hair. He says the models have to work whatever they are given. Adam goes first and says he needs to access his inner rocker. After Take 1, Yu Tsai gives him some advice and calls Adam his “problem child.” But he praises Adam for listening and improving. Adam wants to impress Kelly and prove he’s more than a frat boy.
Yu Tsai finds Ben practicing whipping his hair in the mirror. He observes. Ben admits he’s not as confident as he has in the past. Yu Tsai says it’s one of the challenges and tells him to work it. But Ben struggles on set. We zip through Shei’s and Will’s shoots and PUPPY! Yu Tsai loves Raelia’s shoot.
And now we come to Lenox. She struggles with her first three frames and walks off stage, sobbing. She says she was kicking herself. Kari and Shei go over to comfort her. We go to…

So, Lenox is still crying. Actually, she’s probably having some sort of panic attack. Kari gives her a pep talk, saying she can nail it. Yu Tsai pulls up a crate as Lenox voices over that she wants to always be tough. She admits she hates crying to Yu Tsai and he tells her that it’s not a sign of weakness. He tells her to channel it to her performance. He tells her to have a good cry and that he’s a supporter of her. She gets her makeup fixed and gets before the camera again. Ben says she nailed it. She hopes she did. Ben gives her a hug.
We zip through Matthew and Yu Tsai loves Kari’s smize. Then Denzel is next. He says it’s his first time rocking a wig and manliner. He rocks it. Massimo even says he’s a natural. He goes to sit on Mirjana’s lap and Shei wants them to take it far…far…away. Shei praises Kari and Keith for remaining professional on set. Will, meanwhile, thinks the relationship has made Mirjana too comfortable.
Mirjana goes to set and is worried about the wig outshining her. Yu Tsai doesn’t seem impressed. Keith goes next and Yu Tsai says he’s relying too heavily on “pretty.” Keith talks about being an athlete and how modeling is a different type of intensity.

Back at the house, Denzel and Mirjana continue to flirt. Will walks away and says they need a hotel room. Downstairs, Matthew, Keith and Shei listen to them along with Will and Raelia. Denzel walks in and Shei tells him she’s had enough of the “husband and wife” stuff. Denzel’s like “What did I do?” Shei says that Denzel is still playing the game while Mirjana is more focused on him. Raelia says they are making the others in the house uncomfortable. Denzel just wants to make his cheese dip.
That night, Ben plays his guitar. Can someone on production staff get him a tuner? Maybe the same person who gave Romeo the supplies for the voodoo dolls he undoubtedly made? Anyway, Ben’s writing a song with Adam for panel. I’m already laughing, I’m sorry. (No I’m not). Ben hopes the song will show the judges he’s here to win.
In the morning, Yu Tsai throws a party at the top model house. Complete with Nina from last season! Hi, Nina! Shei is excited to see her. Nina says the party is for a guest of honor. Shei wonders what’s about to happen. Who is it? Find out after…

Anyway, the guest of honor is Nick Cannon! He comes out and Denzel admits he’s star struck. Everyone keeps talking about Mariah Carey and oh man is this awkward now. He’s there for their challenge. They have to create an ad campaign for his new headphones. The winning team will get to see their photo used in his campaign. Ben, Adam and Lenox are team captains.

Everyone rushes off to start planning. Team Adam wants to turn the house into a high fashion party. Nick likes their story. Team Ben leaves wardrobe to Will. Shei says they should do a lounge/beach theme and Ben supplies in the cabana. Keith says that Ben was very passive as a leader. But then he says he was glad to have a say in the campaign. Over on Team Lenox, she and Matthew clash over ideas. She does ask Kari about what she wants to do. As Lenox faces indecision, we go to…

Oh, thank goodness! The show is moving back to Fridays! It’s no longer opposite Dancing with the Stars!
After the break, Matthew moves the bed while Lenox starts taking pictures with the tablet. Kari poses against the wall and Lenox jumps in, modeling in the middle while Matthew takes the pictures.
Down at the pool, Team Ben prepares for their shoot. Will says Ben is frazzled and trying to do everything. Will says it’s becoming a hot mess. Team Adam inside took too long on wardrobe and makeup. Raelia worries they won’t have enough time to get a good shot. Nina gives him a five minute warning. Looks like they get though. Yu Tsai calls for Team Lenox and they crop as they hurry downstairs.
Nick says he loved that Adam’s team told a story. Raelia and Mirjana were bored and then they pan over to having the headphones on. Except they still looked bored. Nick says Team Ben had fun. But he says it could’ve been an ad for anything, not his headphones. He felt Team Lenox had the most unique approach. He says it oozed style. But they were supposed to be at a party. But they still win the challenge. Mirjana goes on a rant on why Lenox shouldn’t be there. Nick praises her and uses more affect in that talking head than he has since Nina introduced him.
Ben calls everyone to look at the challenge scores. Team Ben is at the bottom—though they all have 8’s. Ben says he can only wait for panel now. Keith talks about being frustrated with losing. Lenox is still nervous about her photo.

Time for panel! Tyra welcomes them. She notices Ben’s guitar. It’s time for Ben and Adam’s song. Kelly is already laughing. Tyra’s like “You’re going off script. What do I do? I guess I’ll let them perform.” Ben starts singing as the models dance in the back. Kelly’s still laughing. Tyra makes them clap and sing along. Tyra says she wants to record it. Anyway, there are judges: Kelly and Ms. J. There are prizes. Tyra congratulates Lenox, Kari and Matthew on their challenge win.
Adam is first. Kelly says she could consider him a model. Ms. J likes it as well. Scores: 8, 8, 8. Ben is next. Tyra says his whip was incomplete and he stopped short. Kelly says it’s painful and Tyra says the hair is wearing him. A social media user mocks Ben. Scores: 6, 6, 5. But Tyra gives his song a 10. Kari is next. Kelly is not a fan of her video. Ms. J and Tyra likes a few shots. But she says it has to be amazing for every moment. Kari: 7, 9, 6. Matthew is next. Tyra says it doesn’t look good and he wasn’t really whipping. Kelly and Ms. J say he still looks good. Scores: 8, 6, 8. Tyra tells them that Matthew needs to rely on more than his good looks.
Keith is next. Kelly says it doesn’t look editorial to her. She wonders if he’s a one-trick pony. Tyra likes his control. Scores: 7, 9, 7. Mirjana is next. Kelly thinks she’s fierce and Tyra likes her face control. Social media likes her. She goes over pronunciation of her name but says Tyra can call her whatever she wants. Scores: 9, 9, 9. Denzel is next and Tyra likes the new beard. Ms. J thinks his video looks a bit like Fabio. (Remember when he guested?) Tyra praises him. Kelly’s at a loss for words. And not in a good way. Scores: 8, 9, 7. Shei is next. Tyra calls her a warrior and Kelly likes it. Ms. J says it’s strong and powerful. Scores: 8, 8, 8. Raelia is next and Tyra yells at her to work! Kelly loves it. Social media thinks she needs to do more with her face. And she does after reading the comment. Scores: 8, 9, 9. Ms. J addresses how fast she speaks and her annunciation. Tyra makes her say “The rain in Spain falls mainly in the plain” but she boffs it completely.
Will is next. Tyra thinks he had the best flips but hunched too much. Kelly loves everything. Scores: 8, 7, 9. Lenox is last. Tyra loves her eyes and Kelly says it’s eerie but fashion. She also loves the eyes. Social media loves her. Scores: 9, 10, 8. Tyra talks to her about the pressure and Lenox says it was a lot. She says a supermodel like Tyra could’ve handled it but Tyra says not necessarily. But she praises how far Lenox came.
Tyra dismisses the models so they can calculate their scores. We go to…

ELIMINATION! The model with best photo is…Lenox. She is joined by Mirjana, Raelia, Shei, Will, Adam, Matthew, Denzel, and Kari. That leaves Ben and Keith in the bottom two. They stand before Tyra. Keith: Strongest face but the judges are bored. Ben: Amazing personality, wrote a great song but photo was bad. Who stays? Keith.
Tyra tells Ben it sucks and that he has a talent—for modeling, singing and playing the guitar. She says he still has a chance to get back in the competition. And she wants him to keep writing and playing music. Ben gets a goodbye hug from the group and he says he’s going to focus on coming back.

Well, that was interesting. I kinda knew Lenox was going to nail her shot. It was too good a set up. I am a bit surprised Ben went home—I liked him. But I guess he can always come back. We’ll see…
