LA! The girls go home to see Molly’s picture. She can’t believe that Nigel called her sexy and wants to tell her mom. Alexandria gives Nicole pointers about being confident, but she’s still down that Tyra called her “old.” Ondrei tells Dominique that her brother was murdered the day before her prom. And another brother died in a car crash. Dalya is amazed at Ondrei’s strength. but is scared she isn’t dealing with her grief.
The next morning, Tyra comes in speaking in a bad French accent to introduce Heather, her nutritionist. Sara’s focused on the fact the kitchen isn’t clean. Tyra tells the models about “Cheaties”—foods that seem bad but aren’t. Heather says that spaghetti and meatballs is a cheaty. Another cheaty is peanut butter on a wheat waffle. Tyra says these are foods to have when you want to indulge, not every day. Monique and Jaclyn find raw chicken in a bowl wrapped in aluminum. Dayla tells Alexandria that it needs to go in a freezer bag and Alexandria pretty much tells her to shut up.
Why does the house bitch have to have my name?
There’s more about Alexandria knowing how to cook and threatening Dayla in confessional, but that’s about it.

TYRA MAIL! “Tomorrow you will face your worst critic.” Uh oh.
The Model Mobile takes the wannabes to the Colony Theater. Nigel meets them and tells them that models have to perform. Models have to emote, be inspiring. He introduces them to an acting coach, Eugene Buica. He says they each have an inner critic, who takes them down. Nigel wants them to deal with their inner critic. Eugene tells Nicole that it will be about conflict. Molly we learn is adopted and she says meeting her birth mother made her realize how great she had it. Each girl has to draw their inner critic. Nicole says she drew herself before it is time to reveal their inner critic. Eugene says he’ll be playing their inner critic.
Molly is first. She fought the abandonment issues she had as an adopted child. Nicole keeps insisting she is good enough. Jaclyn deals with her “baby” face. Ondrei finally works out her grief about her brothers. She causes the other girls to cry as well. Nigel tells them that it is their humanity that makes them beautiful. And the camera has to capture that. And for breaking down, they get jewelry. Jaclyn can’t wait to wear them. And Nigel gets a group hug.
Back at the house, Dayla says that this is a great experience and helping her learn independence. Ondrei talks about how difficult the day was and is reconsidering her spot in the house. Uh oh. She calls her boyfriend. He’s supportive of whatever she decides to do.

The next day, the girls go to Smashbox Studios. Did we miss a Tyra Mail somewhere? Anyway, Mr. Jay says that sometimes editorial go extreme. As he’s talking, they hear buzzing. They will be posing with bees while modeling jewelry. Mr. Jay tells them to trust their photographer—Mike Rosenthal. We learn that Jaclyn is allergic to bees. I hope they have a medic on stand-by with an epi-pen or something.
Monique is first. Mr. Jay calls her stunning. Kasia is next, she says she can feel them crawling on her but it doesn’t show. Mr. Jay calls Sara awkward as a bee heads for her girls. Nicole hopes to bring her confidence but Mr. Jay says her eyes look sleepy. Mikaela is next to face the bees and nails it. Dominique says she’s nervous after being in the bottom two. She tries to relax and Mr. Jay tells her to watch her shoulders. Hannah is told to be open to do weird positions. Mr. Jay reminds her of her challenge and gets her to cry. He loves it. Alexandria is next and Mike gets her shots. Molly says she has pressure from being first last week. She wants to be first again. Dayla says she didn’t think of the bees and try to focus on her eyes. She knows she suffers from dead eye. Jaclyn makes sure they aren’t killer bees. And she rocks the shoot. Brittani is fearless, according to Mr. Jay. Ondrei talks about doing the shoot after the challenge. Mr. Jay is surprised at how flat her performance is.
Skulls and Crossbones. I still want a plank. On a ship. With someone dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow. Seriously.
Ondrei says she wants to be there, but she’s not ready to be there. She talks about losing her brother and Monique is all for her leaving, saying she wasn’t ready to win America’s Next Top Model.

Tyra says she is dressing after getting off a flight and yells at Andre for not calling her out for her outfit. Anyway, she welcomes the girls and there are prizes. There are judges: Nigel, Andre, and our guest judge this week is Alek Wek, super model. Can I say I’m glad Andre dumped the judge’s robe? But what’s up with his hat? Anyway, Ondrei is next and she gets praised for her clothing. She addresses the panel and explains she is going through a tough time in her life. She asks to go home. Nigel tells her good luck. Tyra says that Ondrei’s photo has to be evaluated. If it is the worst, there will be no elimination. If they have a worst photo, there will be an elimination. Ondrei says her good-byes and leaves.
Kasia is next. They love her picture. Mikaela follows. Tyra says she looks chic and clean at panel. Andre says she looks stunning, but Tyra says that her eyes were a bit dead in the film. Dominique is next and Andre loves her hands. Tyra says that the picture is stunning, but the film was not. She tells her to take control of her face. Alek calls Brittani strong and Tyra tells her not to lose her focus. Jaclyn is praised for looking like a model on a go-see. Andre says her picture is beautiful but she needed to do something with her hands. Dayla’s picture is with her eyes closed because the ones with her eyes open make her look crazy. Nigel shows her some tricks.
Tyra liked Alexandria’s poses, but tells her to put more in her eyes. Nigel tells Sara to believe in herself and it’ll come across. Alek tells Molly to stretch out her neck and calls her a warrior. Nicole says that she thought the bees were mosquitos. Tyra has no clue how that is better. And she once again looked old. They ask why Hannah is crying and she says she broke down her walls. Nigel tells her to go with it as Andre says he loves her neck and hands. Monique’s picture causes Andre to repeat Shanghai several times. And Alek mentions John Galliano in regards to her.
Now this was filmed before Galliano’s rant surfaced online and he was suspended by Dior…by talk about your timing!

The judges deliberate. Nigel loves Mikaela’s bone structure and Alek loves Brittani. Andre says he’ll buy Tyra a salon. They like Jaclyn and Nigel likes Kasia. Nigel isn’t certain with Dayla while he and Andre disagree about Alexandria. Alek likes Sara’s face, not her hand. Nigel calls Molly a “pretty girl” and Alek finds Dominique beautiful. Nicole is still photographing old. Andre loves Hannah, as does everything else. Tyra says she’d put Monique’s picture in her salon once Andre buys it. Alek likes Ondrei’s picture. They’ve reached a decision.
ELIMINATION! And best photo goes to Hannah and her tears. She is joined by: Brittani, Monique, Mikaela, Kasia, Dominique, Sara, Alexandria, Jaclyn, and Molly. Nicole and Dayla are left. Nicole: She looks young in person, but old in pictures. Dayla: Stunning bone structure, but only one stunning photo this week. They show Ondrei’s photo and Tyra asks if that is the worst photo. And it isn’t. One of them is going home. And it’s Nicole. They flash to Alexandria, who is visibly trying to keep her emotions in check. Tyra tells her that accidents can get a girl sent home. Tyra hugs Nicole and tells her to let it be.
Nicole thinks she was just trying too hard. She says she learned something new.

Wow, that was a shock. They were teasing about someone wanting to leave, but I’m surprised over the reason. And the way they edited it, the commercials made it seem like Nigel’s good luck wasn’t as kind as it was. Otherwise, sad to see Nicole go but the “old” comments usually are the kiss of death. Still glad to see Brittani, Kasia and Mikaela holding strong.
