She Wants Her Baby, Dammit!

And Eleventh Hour is back after being bumped for March Madness. Sadly, it’s also the season finale, so enjoy it.

We open at the Ray Wynne Residence in Alexandria, VA. He is the Deputy Director of the FBI and introducing Hood at a big, fancy dinner. Outside, Rachel talks to a guy in a car while inside, Ray’s wife is getting ready. We see someone grab a gun while Hood admits to wearing a clip on tie. Ray’s wife calls him up while Hood calls Rachel, who is still standing outside. She says guy in car was reporting a prowler. And then Hood hears gunshots. Found the prowler! He and Rachel race to Ray’s room, sending his teen children back to theirs. They find a crazed woman asking for her baby. Rachel takes her down.

Outside, we learn her name is Sophia Lions and she was an FBI lab tech. Her no-good boyfriend left her while she was pregnant. Then she went insane, insisting the FBI had taken her baby and Ray was her lover. In the cop car, Sophia shows Hood an implant being used to give Sophia her drugs. She insists she is trying to remain sane and that she is telling the truth. She begs Hood to remember her. He doesn’t believe her. However, the implant makes him curious. He declares her dangerous as we tick to the credits…

We return to the Crystal Springs Recovery Center. It’s been a week since the opening, thank you, Rachel. Hood is still wondering about the implant, especially since he noticed a major anti-psychotic drug. He says that to use the implant, the patient has to give informed consent (the bane of House’s life on his show) and Sophia clearly couldn’t give that. They find Sophia at the pool, now a lot calmer. She asks the duo to forget the events of the week prior, claiming she wasn’t herself. She praises Ray, blames the no-good boyfriend and says the baby never existed. She goes to wash the chlorine out, giving Hood a view of her new implant. He asks for a hairbrush, so Rachel snoops. She comes up empty so Rachel sends her to Sophia’s room. Hood hands Sophia her sunglasses, wondering at Sophia’s pool privileges. She says it’s from agreeing to an implant.

Hood goes to talk to Sophia’s doctor. He praises Sophia’s progress. Hood asks about the implants and the doctor says it could be a lifesaver to many people. Hood doesn’t buy it but switches to Sophia’s drugs. He mentions the drugs may cause contracted pupils, but she had normal ones. This unnerves the doctor as Rachel and Hood make off with Sophia’s hairbrush.

Felix joins them in the lab, where Hood is studying Sophia’s hair for drug use history. Felix is impressed with the science. Meanwhile, the doctor tests Sophia’s eyes. As his back is turned, she lifts his keys. Back at the lab, Hood discovers that Sophia did in fact deliver a baby full term. Meanwhile, the mommy in question walks across the lawns as her doctor realizes he doesn’t have his keys. Hood looks at her drug use history, noting crystal meth and DXM (active ingredient in cough medicine). Together, they cancel out the anti-psychotic drugs. Hood believes that Sophia thinks she’s clinging to reality. She drives off as we tick to commercials…

Hood, Rachel and the doctor find Sophia’s stash. They question her roommate, Louella. Louella sides with Sophia. The others try to convince her Sophia is delusional then threaten her privileges to find Sophia. Louella doesn’t respond until Hood promises they want to help her friend. Louella says Sophia was going to catch the big man. Rachel and Hood go to Sophia’s apartment, breaking down the door. She isn’t there, but Hood smells bleach and battery acid. Hood recognizes the ingredients to build a bomb. Rachel calls Felix to secure the Wynne family. Ray orders the family to a weekend house—really a nice house in a gated community.

Rachel and Hood drive up. He asks to be able to drive, to give Rachel a break. She refuses, saying she let him drive once and never again. They arrive just as the house explodes. Rachel exits the car to see the family safe on the lawn. Sophia told them to get out, showing Rachel where the crazed woman went. Hood calls 911, waiting for someone to pick up. You know, the time I call 911, I didn’t even have to wait for a ring! Meanwhile, Rachel walks into a scene from a slasher flick. There is fog and deserted streets and nearly manicured lawns…and a crazed person with a crossbow. She shoots Rachel, which Hood notes immediately. As help arrives, he runs to find Rachel. Wynne regrets not pressing charges. Hood feels it was so the real story didn’t come out—Sophia had the baby and there is no no-good boyfriend except in her FBI file. Hood realizes that Sophia hasn’t lost touch with reality, Ray is making her loose her touch. Ray threatens to slap Hood in the mouth. Seriously? That’s something you do to a naughty toddler so they understand biting hurts and is not good. Not to a grown scientist.

Hood talks to Sophia, who has an injured Rachel. She says she will only deal with Hood and wants Ray punished and her baby back. She keeps Rachel as Hood pleads with her. We tick to commercials…

We return to a seedy hotel. Rachel is cuffed to the bed, screaming for help. But the other tenants are having a rowdy party, so no one hears her. Sophia brought Rachel painkillers for her leg and a WiFi phone, difficult to trace. Rachel is not in a good mood, announcing Sophia will go to jail. Sophia tries to make the agent more comfortable, but she’s in a lot of pain.

Back at the house, Felix finds Rachel’s gun and a crossbow. Wynne orders a search party and then tells Felix it was his crossbow. The Director shows up to comfort Ray. Ray complains about Hood, surprising the Director. Ray believes Hood will get Rachel killed. Felix says Hood left with the state police. He’s in what I assume is his house, watching his laptop. Oh, he’s in Sophia’s apartment as he takes her call. Sophia says she ix-nayed an abortion, but agreed to an adoption. But she changed her mind after her son was born. Next thing she knew, she woke up in her apartment without her son and missing 36 hours from her memory. Sophia says she’ll trade Rachel for her baby. She says if that doesn’t happy, someone will die. She ends the call by sending a picture of Rachel over.

Rachel is in a lot more pain so Sophia tries to offer more painkillers. Rachel refuses. Sophia tells her that Hood will get her baby back and they will have a new start. Rachel tells Sophia not to put too much hope in Hood’s ability to get her son. Sophia tells Rachel her baby’s weight but refuses to tell her his name, knowing she’d have to change it once she skips town. Rachel tries to reason with the woman.

Ray goes to talk to the Director with Rachel’s phone. He found Sophia’s fingerprints and notes the last call was to Hood. Ray feels Hood is in on it. The Director correctly points out that any agent would chase down his/her partner. Ray spins it so that Hood does in fact sound like the Big Bad Wolf. Felix takes a call from Hood, who is on a pay phone. He needs Felix’s help to track down the kid. Ray comes in to announce that Hood is a person of interest in Rachel’s case. He reminds the agents that Hood is not sworn in and is not one of them. He orders them to get Hood so he pays for betraying Rachel. Hood hangs up, angrily.

Felix meets Hood in an internet café. He assures the scientist no one followed him and then tries to convince Hood to come with him to the Bureau. Hood says no thanks and dismisses Felix if that’s all he’s going to do. Felix pulls up a chair to view…Maya Wynne’s MySpace page. Namely, her brother and father’s pictures. They both have a yellow-tinge to the whites of their eyes. Hood believes the condition would’ve been passed to Sophia’s son.

In the hotel room, Rachel tries to reach the phone while Sophia snorts some meth. Sophia comes out, thinking Hood called. She tells Rachel to call her if the phone rings. Felix schmoozes with the receptionist at the National Institute for Health. He pretends to be working on a case. She finds one with the syndrome Hood mentions and shows an adopted son in Virginia. However, Felix tells Hood the kid is in Carroll County, Maryland. Umm, wrong state there, Felix. VA=Virginia, MD= Maryland. Hood calls Sophia and asks that Rachel listens in. He gives her an address and mentions a diner with the worst pancakes in the world. The FBI moves on the address, which Rachel tells Sophia is a fake. But she knows the diner.

Sophia and Rachel pull up to the deserted diner. Hood rushes to cradle Rachel, calling Felix. He is stalking the baby’s adopted parents. Hood shows the video from Felix’s phone to Sophia, who watches her son. The FBI tracks down Hood while Sophia goes nuts. She wanted her son physically in her arms. Hood tells her to let her son remain with the adoptive parents to give them time to sort things out. She yells at him and he yells back to think of her son. She yells she wants him with her and then pulls the arrow out of Rachel’s leg, essentially allowing her to bleed to death. Sophia takes the phone and the car, but Hood finds a car with a screwdriver for a key. He loads Rachel into the car, trying to keep her with him. She tells him not to feel guilty if it doesn’t work out.

Hood races to the closest hospital, carrying Rachel into the emergency room. A team of doctors take care of Rachel as Hood waits in the waiting room. Ray comes to see him. Felix and the Director follow, showing the video of his son. Hood now has proof Sophia was telling the truth and that Ray abused his power. The Director does not look pleased—he was betrayed by his deputy who in turn made him betray his friend.

Meanwhile, Sophia finds her son playing with his adoptive mom in the park. She pretends to be a random parkgoer who thinks the baby is cute. She asks for the baby’s name and is told it is Michael. Felix finds her and she goes willingly.

A doctor tells Hood Rachel should make a full recovery. She is channel surfing as Hood enters her room. She says she starts physical therapy and asks about the case. He says Ray is in jail and will be kicked out of the FBI and Rachel hopes Sophia will get the help she needs. Rachel says that his new handler better not get comfortable. As Marley Shelton is pregnant, this is probably the cover for Rachel not to be in the first few episodes of the new season. I’d imagine Rachel will make a return about November sweeps. Hood, however, offers to let her switch assignments. I originally thought he was going to say he was getting out of the FBI, leading to episodes where he keeps having to solve mysteries before running into Rachel again, finally returning to the Bureau. However, Rachel protests saying that she wouldn’t switch assignments, especially since Hood is a bad driver. I would’ve felt it more appropriate for her to repeat the line she said in the premiere: that he wouldn’t get rid of her that easily.

And thus ends Season One of Eleventh Hour. It is usually in the Nielsen Top 20, so there is a good chance the show will be renewed for next season. Chances that it’ll retain it’s plump time slot behind CSI are a bit shaky as CBS likes to debut shows there and then move them around. Anyway, Harper’s Island replaces Eleventh Hour next week, a murder mystery series. I think I’ll give it a go, mostly for Christopher Gorham, who I loved as the adorkable Henry on Ugly Betty.

So, after Hood’s reaction to Rachel’s abduction and injury, how long before we see a Rachel-Hood relationship?

Quote of the Episode:

“It’s the pancakes, they probably poisoned someone.”--Rachel

DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA

Last week on Top Model: The girls had a pose-off with New York’s queen community as their judges. Benny Ninja played their husbands in their immigrant photoshoot. Tahlia expressed her wish to leave the competition but then got the best picture. Celia complained but was quickly put in her place. In the end, Kortnie was sent packing. Will Celia pay? Find out!

Wanna be on top?

NEW YORK! The models arrive back at the Top Model to see Tahlia’s picture on display. She’s hurt about Celia’s announcement. Celia says she is stronger. She’s in trouble but willing to except the punishment. Sandra is surprised Celia actually did it. For once, she’s not the bitch in all of this. She agrees that it was not Celia’s business. Teyona and Aminat go down to confront Celia, telling her to have talked to Tahlia about it. And for some reason, they blame Allison! She’s confused by the attack. Tahlia says that she needed to question her motivations but now that she sees her picture, she knows she wants to be there. Natalie brings up a good point—What about the next time Tahlia does poorly? What then? She says that if Tahlia does not want to be there, “we” will force her out. Aminat thinks Natalie is part of the “we.” Hello, it’s a competition, you’re all there to be better than the other girl! Aminat goes up in Natalie’s face, calling her stupid and using it as an excuse to let Natalie know she doesn’t like her. It ends as Tahlia calls them bitches and backstabbers.

Okay, while I admit it isn’t fair that Celia told Tyra at panel and I think Aminat was right to say the girls should’ve talked to Tahlia first, Tahlia shouldn’t have told everybody in the house what she was feeling. If she just told Allison, then I could understand the Allison blame game. But the fact she told others, there shouldn’t have been an attack on just Allison.

TYRA MAIL! “Cut it out! I don’t want to see any more blank faces!” Girls figure it is an acting challenge.

The girls meet with Mr. Jay and his army of mannequins. He says they are “clothes hangers” and that term is the kiss of death for models. He punctuates it by pushing over a mannequin. He says they will work on the girls’ face. He introduces Beth Stern, Howard Stern’s model wife. They will talk the girls through scenarios. Allison tries to live with her big eyes. Teyona is told to relax her jaw. Celia aces “mystery.” But then Tahlia works “sensual” as well. She says confidence a few times in confession. Fo aces it as well. Sandra is told to be soft. Mr. Jay praises Natalie as well, calling her Victoria’s Secret.

The girls go to the test. He pulls of a sheet and the girls laugh, but we go to commercial break…

NEW YORK! It’s a carnival cut-out of Tyra’s body. The girls will be posing there, giving expression based on Tyra’s body language. The girls are sent out of the room. Celia is up first. Beth thinks Celia is more concerned about body than face. Fo returns. Sandra is next, thinking it’s easy. She fails. Mr. Jay thinks she’s fasing. Aminat and Allison go with silly faces. Beth feels Allison is having a problem. Natalie succeeds both times. London does well too. Mr. Jay thinks Tahlia tries too hard. And the challenge winner is…Natalie! Tahlia isn’t happy. Oh, is she going to want to go home again? Natalie gets 50% more frames at the next shoot. Beth tells the girl to watch their faces and calls them all winners. Aww, Beth.

TYRA MAIL! “You’re all looking a little pale. I think you need a new color.” Aminat guesses the mail is about facial expressions. NO! WAY! The girls think it’s about body paint.

Tahlia and Celia have a conversation in front of the stairs. Like two adults. Without finger waving and name calling. This is kinda boring. Celia tries to convince Tahlia it wasn’t to humiliate her but that since Tahlia said she didn’t want to be there, it wasn’t fair. Tahlia said she was feeling that. THEN DON’T TELL YOUR COMPETITION IDIOT! Celia worries she is going home.

McKey goes to try on clothes…To be honest, I can’t understand a word out of her mouth because she talks. Too. Damn. Softly.

NEW YORK! The girls board the Barbie Top Model Bus. They meet up with Mr. Jay. He introduces Keith Major, their photographer. The girls will have a colored powder splashed across their face and then emote that color. Sutan pokes around for gossip, asking if everyone is getting along. He knows.

Allison (Pink): She goes for girly. Poor Allison, she’s holding back. I love her, where’s the girl who just posed with every shot in episode 1?

Aminat (Green): She goes for earth. Mr. Jay asks her to finally drop her arm.

Tahlia (Purple): Mr. Jay says she’s blah and asks for more. He asks for what she is thinking of. She says sensual. He doesn’t feel that bodes well.

Teyona (Yellow): She goes for happy and joyful, and gets cheesy. Mr. Jay is not happy. He doesn’t think she can smile.

Fo (Red): Goes for anger. Mr. Jay loves it!

London (Blue): Mr. Jay loves her shoot as well. Yay! She’s my other favorite and Allison’s floundering.

Natalie (Orange): I’d think Florida, Jay goes with passion. “Throbbing” passion. She got the extra frames. He tells her she needed those extra frames. Natalie wasn’t the same girl who won the challenge. Natalie probably saw the pictures beforehand!

Sandra (White): Goes for angel and peace. Even Mr. Jay is surprised. She says she’s confident.

Celia (Gray): Wants to wow Jay to off-seat Tyra’s feelings. Mr. Jay reminds her it is about the face. She relaxes and Jay says she does well. She’s happy.

Hannah Montana. The one time I’ll root for Tyra.

TYRA MAIL! Someone’s going home. Who will it be? Sandra asks the picture of Tyra for a picture. Celia tries to find the perfect panel outfit incase she’s leaving.

PANEL! The little girl is upstaging Tyra! There are prizes, there are judges, Nigel’s wife should worry—Tyra keeps adding sexy adjectives before his name, there is Ms. J’s bowtie and the guest judge is Keith Major. Aminat is up first. Nigel thinks it is modern and Tyra loves her lips. Natalie is next, applauded for winning the challenge. The light doesn’t angle her face, so she has to figure out how to do it. Tahlia walks up and Tyra makes her change her hair. She says she played volleyball. Tyra praises her for looking better in pictures than in person. She is told to let the photographer follow her. Nigel asks her the million dollar question. She tells them that she was just questioning but she was validated. Nigel tells her not to do that on the competition. She has to prove she wants to be there.

The judges love Celia and the photographer praises her. No mention about last week. Teyona is called a chameleon, Tyra’s favorite word. She says that maybe the Obamas will hang it in their kitchen. They love London’s outfit, but want more variation in her face. It is her strongest look, but she needs more. Allison is also called modern but Ms. J loves her neck. Nigel and Keith complain that it is the same look. Nigel says to change it up. Sandra is up and Tyra picked a straight-on shot. They tell her to work when facing front to the camera. Fo is last. She gets compared to Janice and is praised.

Top Models in Action! This week is winner Whitney. She’s getting covers and is a spokesmodel. Go Whit!

The judges deliberate. The judges aren’t sure about Tahlia’s personality or Celia’s ability to be in the industry. Nigel and Tyra still love Allison’s look. Tyra loves that Fo is smiling with her eyes. ELIMINATION! The first name is Fo. Teyona is next, followed by Tahlia, Aminat, Allison (yay!), Natalie, and London (double yay!). Sandra and Celia are in the bottom two. Sandra: Lovely girl, beautiful picture, not that much variation. Seems only good in profile. Can she work face on? Celia: Gorgeous pictures, best style in competition. Tyra lashes at Celia for throwing Tahlia under the bus. So, who’s staying? Celia. Wait…they are cutting the bitch before the recap episode? What? Tyra tells her not to mess with another girl’s career because she’s had it happen. Naomi? Tyra gives Sandra some tips. Sandra looks like she isn’t listening to a word Tyra says. She hugs the girls and leaves.

She says she’s mad and still insists she’s the best. Good lord, Tyra, you sent her home before taking a pin to that ego? Why does it look like Allison’s head is pasted on to someone else’s body in the end picture?

Still in the running:

Celia

Aminat

Tahlia

Kortnie

Isabella

Nijah

Allison

London

Sandra

Natalie

Fo

Jessica

Teyona

Next week: The acting challenge. Paulina helps them with this. And Clay Aiken is on!

So, surprised the cycle bitch went home so early? Who do you think will step in and take her place? Natalie, Aminat and Celia have shown themselves to be what I call “stealth bitches.” Are they up for a full time gig?

Forgiveness All Around! Unless Your Name is Amy.

Last week on Secret Life of the American Teenager: Amy gave Ricky a dose of reality about the baby, Ben got a dose of reality of his own, Molly Ringwald finally called out her younger daughter’s sarcastic nature, a gay couple courted George in hopes of adopting Amy’s baby, Adrian kissed her step-brother, Grace learned the truth about Ricky and Adrian…and then still believed Ricky would come back to her while Ricky gave Amy the okay for adoption.

Amy’s lying on her bed, refusing to go to school. She tries to use “I’m pregnant” as an excuse to stay home sick. Ashley consoles her sister, who hasn’t heard from Ben. She offers to pawn a ring she was given by the waitress from two weeks. Amy tells Ashley about Donovan and Leon. She doesn’t support her sister’s decision and tells her to not just give the baby away. She first accuses Amy of giving the baby up so someone else could do what she should and then to keep Ben.

And now the Sausage King is singing a different tune. He tells Ben that 15 is too young to be married but he did his best. And the Sausage King is proud of his son and tries to convince him that he did the right thing. Ben is standing aside for Ricky. The Sausage King drags his son to school.

CREDITS!

Shauna the Slut calls Jack, sounding like she’s sorry. And she tells Jack that she doesn’t have a boyfriend, she made it up because Jack is still in high school. She’s 20 and Jack argues that’s not too much older. Except according to the law. But they decide to be a couple anyway. Jack says he did something stupid. Telling Grace that Ricky was cheating on her wasn’t stupid, Jack. Oh, hey, the Blabbermouth Duo come back complaining about how clingy Ben was. Even Jack agrees before rushing off. They continue talking before Jason and Madison start bickering in the hallway. Lauren encourages her friend to make up with her boyfriend though she made it clear Madison will be dumped soon.

Jack apologizes to Grace who needs a recap. Alice comes up and Jack says they are just friends. She hisses before walking away.  Grace says Jack was right before an awkward moment between Jack, Grace, Ricky and Adrian. Henry comes up to Alice and tells her the news about Amy and Ben. She’s surprised and they try the “trash talk the ex” cheering up route. It doesn’t work. Ben tries to get consolation from Mr. Molina but he awesomely puts his foot down and tells Ben it is just now academic. Jack comes in to talk about the mentoring program but gets the boot when he starts talking about Shauna. Two seconds later, Adrian announces: “I’m thinking about having sex with my brother.” Mr. Molina leaves, finally giving up on the insanity. You go, Mr. Molina.

Sad looks and the Chords of Meaningfulness’ brother, the Chords of Melancholy, strike up as Amy and Ben pass each other in the hall.

We come back to Molly placing flowers in a vase. Lovely arrangement, Molly. Amy’s Dad comes in and gets the third degree. He’s sick, too, like Amy and Ben. Molly says she’s meeting a couple Rev. Stone suggested for adoption. Linda and Jim. Amy’s Dad insists on meeting the couple before pushing Donovan and Leon. Molly asks why. He says no reason. And we cut to: Josie Bisset taking a swig. John Schneider comes by for lunch, wondering about the wine. Josie says she was just checking it out while cleaning the refrigerator. John moans about their lack of a love life. Josie says he’s bitter. John says they’ve been living a lie for 17 years. Josie argues that it was one question. She then begs for forgiveness. He gives it and they try to run for the bedroom, but Tom’s upstairs sulking over Tammy.

Molly’s waiting for Linda and Jim, who have been shanghaied by Amy’s Dad. Jim drinks a beer while Linda scolds. Linda says she’s not open to an open adoption, saying Amy and the Jurgens would be out of the baby’s life. Jim seems ready to negotiate on it. The couple leaves as Molly spots them. And it suddenly it turns into a sitcom. Donovan calls to ask to talk to Molly after closing, slightly spilling the beans.

Amy glumly watches couples past her as the Blabbermouth Duo try to tell her she did the right thing. Amy wants to apologize and Lauren says it isn’t Ben’s business. Ricky is the baby’s daddy. Amy tells them about Donovan and Leon. She wants to make up with Ben, giving him the ring Ashley gave her and be with him. Lauren and Madison tell her to wait, see if Ben apologizes. They tell her to start over and live her dreams. And giddy Madison leaves while Amy tells Lauren that Ben was the best thing to happen to her this year. Henry and Alice watch her talk with her friends. They’re worried that Amy’s trying to get Ben back. Alice remarks on Ben’s romantic nature as Ben walks up. He’s worried that Amy’s still in love with Ricky because she’s the type to have feelings with someone. Ben’s just a ball of confusion and asks for a sign.

Adrian and Grace have it out. She wanted to be friends with Adrian because she wasn’t having sex with Ricky. She tells Adrian to stop having sex with her boyfriends. Grace calls her the “b-word.” Just that. Grace refuses to say “Bitch.” They are gathering a crowd. Grace says: “God help Adrian because she’s a bitch.” They then get into a cat fight for twenty seconds. They start laughing and apologize. Grace says that Ricky’s made her an idiot. Okay, not as naïve as we think. Adrian gives her Ricky because she has her brother. Grace gives her a look and then agrees for coffee.

Ricky apologizes for breaking up her and Ben. He then squashes it by calling Ben a wuss. And even though he gave them the okay for the adoption, he’s not. He brings her to tears, giving her a comforting hug. And who should see the hug? Grace, Adrian and Ben.

Adrian and Grace have dinner together. They talk about Amy and Ben being married. I guess no one told Grace and Adrian that it was a not!marriage. Grace says she wants to be married to Ricky one day. Adrian can’t believe it. The two talk about Ricky and sex. They cut to her parents in post-coital. John Schneider tries to sweet-talk her into having more kids. She ix-nays and goes downstairs to see Tom and Tammy in bathrobes. Josie is unnerved until it’s revealed they were in the hot tub. She’s relieved and tells them not to have sex. Way to plant ideas, Josie. Fortunately, Tammy wants a wedding first. These two are kinda sweet.

Duncan and Jack are working on Duncan’s homework though Jack is not really focused. Duncan knows something is up and tells Jack to go with his sister. Jack then leaves as Duncan tells his sister that Jack’s in high school. She races out the door to kiss Jack and makes a plan with him Wednesday nights. Turns out Shauna is a Christian too who attends services on Wednesday. Wow. Duncan warns his sister not to anything stupid enough to get thrown in jail. Thank you, Duncan.

Donovan and Leon address Molly about the adoption. Molly agrees with the idea of the two of them adopting the baby. They said they approached Amy’s Dad first because they figured HE’D have the most difficulty agreeing to it. Amy’s Dad takes offense as Molly likes them more and more. Amy comes down to talk to Leon and Donovan.

Molly and Amy’s Dad share a dessert. Molly finally notes Amy’s Dad’s misgivings about adoption. Sounds like Molly is hesitant, which he notes. He then apologizes for not working harder on the marriage or for the cheating. She forgives him but Ashley doesn’t. She then tosses an egg on the floor and Amy’s Dad wonders if Donovan and Leon will take Ashley. Molly gives her a vote of confidence.

Back in the living room, Donovan and Leon want to make sure Amy’s sure about the adoption. They almost had children but the parents found out they were gay and refused. They also ask to meet Ricky, asking about Ben in the process. She starts crying and they look lost. She says she messed things up with Ben and does love him. Phew, the commercials made it sound like she was still in love with Ricky. Donovan and Leon offer to drive her to Ben’s to talk. They want to see where the Sausage King leaves.

Jack goes to apologize to Ricky, who could care less. He’s trying to do some reading about pregnancies. In the process, Ricky admits he’s in love with Amy. Jack reminds him of the wedding. Did nobody tell these people it was a not!marriage? Jack’s surprised and walks away. Grace calls but Ricky cuts her off, saying he can’t talk to her anymore. She then calls Adrian, who tells her to let it go. Now Adrian calls Ricky to invite him over. He tells Adrian they are finished. Now Adrian’s concerned.

Amy goes to Ben’s house. The Sausage King opens the door but doesn’t invite her in. He tells her that he loves Amy and the baby but also Ben. He’s not sure if Ben wants to still be with her. He asks her to give Ben some time to make the decision. She agrees and turns, heartbroken. The Chords of Meaningfulness strike up as she walks away. Are Donovan and Leon waiting for her? How is she going to get home?

Next week:  Ben or Ricky?

Exchange of the Episode:

“What do you call a girl who is married to one guy and trying to date the father of her baby? They probably don’t have a word for that.”

“I stand by harlot.” Henry and Alice

What do you think of Ricky’s declaration? Do you hope they give Grace and Adrian better love interests? Will we see more of John Schneider and Josie Bisset now that they’ve patched things up? And who will Amy choose?
