ANTM: Frozen is Everywhere.

You can’t escape it. Resistance is futile. Just let it go.

Last time on “ANTM”: The two main couples in the house moved in together. But people—mainly Shei—wondered if Mirjana was more into Denzel than he was to her. Lenox freaked out about having only five frames but nailed the photoshoot. Keith and Ben, not so much. Nina dropped by with Nick Cannon for their challenge. Lenox’s team won the challenge. She ended up with best photo while Keith and Ben fell into the bottom two. Ben was sent home. Ten models remain, who will be eliminated tonight? Find out!

Wanna be on top?

Everyone comes home and Lenox talks about yo-yoing in the competition: on top, in the bottom, then on top again. She says she can understand how fast it can go. Mirjana flirts with Denzel and Shei talks about how she feels Mirjana has deeer feelings than Denzel. Everyone goes to bed.

The next morning, Kelly welcomes the models to the CW and introduces the vice president of talent and casting, Lori Openden. Kelly talks about past contestants who have gone on to have acting careers—like Yaya de Costa and Analeigh Tipton. So the models will audition for a panel of CW people and will win a walk on role in a CW show. She tells them to pair up. The pairs are:

Keith and Mirjana
Matthew and Raelia
Denzel and Shei
Kari and Will
Lenox and Adam

Kelly asks Mirjana why she didn’t pair up with Denzel and Mirjana mentions something about business and pleasure. Kari says the script is three pages. Meanwhile, Denzel likes being paired with Shei and they practice the kiss. Mirjana admits she’s irritated by it.

CREDITS!

Shei and Denzel keep practicing and Mirjana is jealous. Kelly tells them time’s up and that Kristen and Justin, heads of development, are in there. She means Kristen Vadas and Justin Rosenblatt. Keith and Mirjana go first. Mirjana admits she is distracted by Denzel and Shei. Keith notices she is off. Kristen and Justin weren’t impressed. Denzel and Shei are next. They seem impressed by them and Justin says Denzel is memorable. As Lenox and Adam go, he says he wants to really win the challenge. He does get into it. Lori likes Adam and Justin thinks Lenox has the CW look.

Matthew and Raelia are next. Raelia’s tendency to slur is her downfall. Justin thinks she looks good but he couldn’t understand her. Denzel isn’t sure if Will can be the militant type. Justin doesn’t see Kari as a romantic lead and they don’t think Will is an actor.

Lori goes straight to the top three contenders: Denzel, Adam and Lenox. But there can only be one winner. And it’s Denzel! Matthew is a bit bummed he didn’t win the acting challenge. Lori asks Denzel to do impressions of his namesake, which he does. She’s impressed.

They go home to see their challenge scores. Denzel leads with a nine while Keith and Mirjana are at the bottom with “5’s.” Denzel knows Mirjana is pissed but he knows not to “poke a bear.” Meanwhile, Kari worries she’s slipping and she’s asked about her confidence. She admits she doesn’t have any.

At dinner, Mirjana goes on about Shei and how Shei wants to get closer to Denzel. He confesses that she’s the one with a boyfriend. Mirjana says he’s going to sleep on the couch. We go to…

COMMERCIALS!

At the house, Denzel says Mirjana corners him, still going on about Shei. He tells her he was acting and says she kissed Keith. She says it’s different because she’s not attracted to Keith. Denzel says that Mirjana is a bit immature and younger than he would usually date. Shei is in there and leaves because she’s like “I don’t want your man.”

Upstairs, Will overhears Denzel and Keith talking about the competition. Denzel wouldn’t be too sad if Mirjana were to leave because he wants a man to win. Just as long as it’s Will because he thinks male models need to break a stigma and they go on about Will wearing heels at casting. Will gets upset and tells Raelia that they will have to explain why a guy who wears heels beat them.

Raelia goes to tell Keith and Denzel they made Will upset. Keith says he’s not a homophobe—his mother is a lesbian and he has gay mentors. He doesn’t want people to think he is. So they go to talk to Will. They tell him it’s not a slam against him…but yes, it kinda is, Denzel. Will gets more upset and walks away. The girls and Adam go to comfort him. And they all think Denzel is being a douche. Will says this is everyday of his life and this was the one place where he could really be himself.

COMMERCIALS!

Adam talks to Will about how he was at a Frat house and he admits he threw someone out of a party because of what he was wearing and he called it gay. He said it blew up in his face and he had to make an apology. It sounds like Adam learned a lesson. Will even says Adam would’ve been the person to pick on him but he’s not. Adam and Will hug it out.

The next day, the board the model mobile to meet Yu Tsai in a winter wonderland. They are getting transformed into frostbitten beauties, posted on ice. Franco Lacosta is back to photograph them. They are sent to hair and makeup.

Will knows he needs to have a conversation with Denzel and clear the air but at the same time, he knows he can’t change what he thinks. Denzel says if Will wants to be a man and talk about it, he’s willing. But if he wants to be a female and not talk, then that’s his decision. So now Denzel’s throwing misogyny on top of homophobia. Here’s a shovel, Denzel. Good luck getting out of that hole. Denzel says if this causes Will to have a bad shoot, more power to him.

Mirjana is next. And poses on top of ice and everyone sees how cold she is. Shei is next and Yu Tsai tells
her to bring strength in her eyes instead of shock. He then goes to talk to Keith, who was at the bottom. He gives him some tips before he goes out. Yu Tsai tells him not to worry about his face and Franco says he needs to hurry up. Lenox is up next. She says it’s hard to sit on top of the ice. But she impresses Yu Tsai and Franco.

Matthew is next. They think he’s too “posey.” But he manages to pull it out in the end. Will ends up nailing his shoot and he enjoys watching Franco be himself. Franco even tells him he did a good job. Denzel is next. I think how the beard just comes on for photo shoots. Denzel says he loses feeling in his hands and starts to worry about that more than his shots. Will kinda takes some delight in this. Yu Tsai dismisses Denzel as we go to…

COMMERCIALS!

Kari talks about having a mean face but Matthew says she can use it to her advantage. Yu Tsai tells her to have some energy. She says she’s focused on not getting hypothermia and frustrates Yu Tsai. Adam is next. He’s familiar with ice and Yu Tsai likes his shaking. Franco makes him sing scales and is like “What the hell. Might as well.” Raelia goes next and Yu Tsai needs her to open her eyes and close her mouth. Mirjana makes a comment about Raelia, which she hears. Yu Tsai is worried about her. Mirjana talks to her about the mouth and she says she gives honest feedback to anyone.

Raelia talks about it on the bus and they start arguing. It’s mostly “Bitch, you ain’t going to win!” Keith says he hopes they get into physical fight so both could go home. At home, Lenox says that Mirjana talks smack about all of them behind their backs and Raelia says she doesn’t have time for people like her.

Kari asks Denzel about the situation. He says it’s just their personalities together. He does think she has a lot of positive qualities but she’s not ready for a relationship. Meanwhile, Will is still talking about what Denzel said. This brings us to…

Tyra asks if they talked and lets Will talk it out with Denzel. He says it wasn’t against him, just his opinion. Kelly tells him that he will be working with guys in heels all day long in the fashion world and Ms. J looks horrified. Denzel doesn’t want people to think it’s about being gay or him wearing heels. Tyra says Denzel does care and talks about getting the stereotype of being gay. She tells him to be proud of the industry. She goes one step behind and asks him to imagine what he would feel like if it were fifty years ago and Will said he hoped Denzel would go home so he didn’t have to explain to his friends why he lost to a *Bleep* but we can assume it’s the n-word. She says she only used the word for shock value and Denzel understands.

Kelly likes his picture and calls it cool. Tyra likes his face but he’s hunched. She tells him about his lines. Scores: 8, 7,  9.

Tyra dismisses the models to add up their scores to figure out who will be eliminated.

Aww, not Kari. She was one of my early favorites, but even I could tell she was struggling at the end. I hoped she could save it but I think the God Awful Blonde makeover shook her and she never recovered. I’m getting kinda annoyed with all the Denzel/Mirjana stuff. I also think Denzel’s getting some backlash now that this episode has aired. I’d be surprised if he didn’t. Hopefully, he realizes his own prejudices and works on them.

Next week: Kelly goes off on set! Denzel and Mirjana are over! Tyra’s DNA results!

Quote of the Episode
“I will gladly wave at you as I wear my heels.”—Will about Denzel.
