Wanna be on top?
The final 3 come home to reflect on the last panel. Namely, how Alisha chose to leave. Laura decides she wants coffee and Sophie wants wine. Sophie is proud of Alisha but she does think she could’ve been America’s Next Top Model. And Sophie says she won’t walk out and we hear more about how hard she’s worked. Annaliese admits to being concerned and being the underdog. She says she knows she’s a model no matter the concerns. And Laura celebrates having the first callout and talks about moving around a lot as a kid.
TYRA MAIL! “Get up and go for it in The Pearl of the East.” They realize it’s go-sees. Laura flips out saying they’ve done it before. But this will be the more traditional go-sees: run around the city, get lost, have a time limit, etc. Annaliese talks about Laura’s confidence as we go to…

MACAU! The girls board the Macau Model Mobile to go to their destination. Sophie says that making it in America means making it worldwide. The girls board the ferry and Annaliese is not thrilled to see Kelly Cutrone. She says the girls will be going on go-sees with 4 of Hong Kong’s top designers. For every go-see booked, they will bank money. Annaliese is thrilled. Kelly gives them male models to help them get around.
The pairs jump into cabs. Annaliese is taught some Cantonese by her guide. Sophie talks about the real world of modeling and proving herself to Sophie. She meets William Tang. I want that dress. It’s color matches Sophie’s pink hair. Tang likes her figure. Laura and Annaliese are at a go-see together. Tang isn’t confident in Laura’s walk and he praises Annaliese. She is happy to be the only black girl in the competition because she can give them her skin tone. Tang says that Annaliese has flair.
Sophie is dressed like Marie Antoinette by Gregory Derham of the House of Siren. He loves her. Annaliese meets with Henry Lau. She doesn’t impress him. And we are now told there is a time limit by Sophie—3 hours. Though it is clearly night. Laura is walking around Hong Kong as we go to…

HONG KONG! Laura goes to meet another designer, Marisa Zeman. She doesn’t like Laura’s walk. Sophie passes Annaliese and wishes her luck. Gregory Derham dresses her up in glittery bananas. He loves her. Actually he likes everyone though he doesn’t like Laura’s walk. Sophie goes to meet Henry Lau. He likes her. Annaliese and her partner do relaxation methods as Laura arrives at Henry Lau. He likes her hair and portfolio. Sophie impresses Marisa Zeman. She likes Annaliese the most, though. Annaliese hopes she booked at least 3. Sophie thanks her partner for his help and support. Laura’s partner takes her back to the harbor.
Kelly tells Laura she has a good personality but not sure about her walk. Two designers favored Sophie and the other two favored Annaliese. Laura booked 2 and got 2,000 Hong Kong dollars. Annaliese did book 3 jobs and Kelly gives her 3, 000 Hong Kong dollars (saying she gets to be nice this week). Sophie booked them all, won the challenge and celebrates. She gets to be the face of Nude is Rude (Marisa Zeman) for a year and 4,000 Hong Kong dollars. She gets a junk boat of free clothes from the designers. The guys then take the girls out for a night on the town. Sophie sprays everyone with champagne. They drink…is Laura doing a car bomb?
TYRA MAIL! “Tomorrow will be a Dream Come True.” The girls realize that’s the perfume. Annaliese is excited.
The wannabes meet with Mr. Jay. He says that it’s a surprise to be doing the Final 3 but that it shows it’s anyone’s competition. Their guess was right—that it’s for Dream Come True and the winner’s shot will be used to promote the perfume. The girls will be inside a life-sized perfume bottle. Their photographer is Jez Smith, a judge from Australia’s Next Top Model.
The wannabes hit hair and makeup. Mr. Jay introduces them to Ben Barrett, who created Dream Come True. Ben says he’s a tough client and they have to impress him. He tells them they have to be captivating. Annaliese decides to keep doing what she’s doing while Sophie finally stops and wonders if a Brit can win America’s Next Top Model. Laura hopes to do well since she booked the least amount but she’s not a girly-girl.
COMMERCIALS!
Sophie gets in the bottle first. Ben tells her to show everything in her face. She’s having fun. Mr. Jay says she had good energy and was magical. Ben seems impressed. He tells her that there were good things but she did get repetitive. Sophie thanks him and flounces off. In those dresses, it’s the only way to leave.
Annaliese goes next and Mr. Jay asks for happy. Ben tells her to show excitement. Jez wonders where her bubbly personality offset went onset. Mr. Jay tells her she doesn’t look like her dream came true. Annaliese says some doubt crept in and ruined her. Ben tells her to smile and she does. He says that it was a bit of struggle but they got good shots.
Laura is last and is like “my dream doesn’t involve a bottle.” Mr. Jay stops her posing, saying that he is waiting for a stripper pole to come down. Ben reminds her that their aim is a younger crowd. Mr. Jay tells Ben that she’s better with sexy and sultry. Mr. Jay says this isn’t her shoot.
That’s a wrap!
Skull and crossbones! Still no frickin’ pirates. The girls read the death note with flat voices. We see a shot of baby Sophie in a walker with a dog. She was adorable. Annaliese hopes the challenge saves her and that she can show other girls they can be models. Laura says she kept being told she was too sexy. She says it’s been a struggle but she’s a fighter.
COMMERCIALS!
We come into panel. Tyra acts a bit odd and then there are judges, Nigel and Kelly. Our guest judge is Jez Smith. There are prizes. Laura is up first and Tyra has no clue what she’s wearing. Nigel thinks she looks ethereal. Jez says that he doesn’t think the client was impressed. Kelly and Tyra say she didn’t hit the demo. Kelly thinks Laura’s ad is for a plastic surgeon on 5th Avenue. Annaliese is next and Kelly praises her. Nigel says her shot isn’t the greatest but she clearly has presence. He says that she didn’t give up but she needed to keep her bubbly. Tyra says her smile saved the picture and Kelly says it’s closer to the demo than Laura’s picture. Sophie is last and cheered for winning the challenge. Jez praises her shot. Nigel doesn’t think she looks youthful but that it’s beautiful. Kelly thinks it’s the most youthful shot so far but wanted to see the dress up. Tyra calls Nigel and Jez her “twins” and reveals that the finale will include a fashion show for Forever 21.
COMMERCIALS!
The judges deliberate. Nigel thinks Laura’s ad appeals more to the mothers than the daughters. Jez says she was too sexy. Tyra says that the 18 year old wants to be older. Nigel thinks Annaliese nailed it and Kelly actually praises Annaliese. The judges like Sophie. Tyra says that in the beginning, the Americans were killing it but now the Brits are taking it.

ELIMINATION! First name called is Sophie. Yay! So, who is joined by? Laura or Annaliese? Laura: Love that she is different, but her walk is a concern. Think she can be wild and sexy but not soft and sweet. Annaliese: Improved as the competition continued. Booked 3 fashion shows. But is it her personality or her talent? So who is staying? Laura. Tyra says the reason Laura stays is that she’s the total package sans a good walk. The real reason is because there had to be an American in the finale. We all know that.
Tyra hugs Annaliese and calls her a star. She tells Annaliese to go after it. Annaliese hugs the entire panel before hugging the remaining girls. Someone offstage laughs. She is happy to leave after changing Kelly’s opinion of her.

Did anyone doubt that Laura wouldn’t be in the final two? We all knew it was going to be one Brit, one American from the time the gimmick was revealed. I’m rooting for Sophie. How about you? Vote in my poll!
