Wanna be on top?
Back at the house, Laura decides to let the last week go and focus on doing better. Meanwhile, Brittany gets a letter from her sister who is so proud of her. And Brittany says she’s tired of getting second photo and wants best photo so she can be someone her sister can look up to.
The next day, the girls wonder who will be the girl that comes back. Someone thinks it’ll either be Allyssa or Leila. They then sit down for a meal and say grace. Victoria comes in and things get awkward. She tries to paint herself as a victim and then talks with the girls. Kristin says that if Victoria can’t handle the stress, she should go home. Victoria says Kristin is immature. You know what, they are both immature but right now, Kristin is right.
CREDITS!
Afterwards, Kiara reminds us she had a tough childhood and thinks Victoria is weak. Since Victoria is insistent it wasn’t an eating disorder, some of the girls make sure she wasn’t physically sick. Victoria asks for a truce. She then cries in her confessional about how her mother never told her she was weird but to embrace her quirks. So did my mom…but she let me out in social situations and there were times I was told I was weird. She let me cry it out and now I’m stronger with good self-esteem. I don’t think Victoria ever had that experience when she was younger.
TYRA MAIL! “A good first will get you more bang for your buck.” Victoria thinks it has to do with guns. The other five shoot it down. (No pun intended. Sorry).
The next day, Kelly greets them at BigBox and says they are going on go-sees. They will meet with clients who will actually book them for honest-to-God jobs rather than hypothetical ones. Laura is happy and hopes this will show the judges last week was a fluke. Kelly introduces Markus Barrington from LA Models. The clients will only be allowed to book one girl, but of course the girls can book more than one job. She with the most bookings wins. Kelly pairs them up by whoever they are standing by, so it’s: Brittany and Kristin, Nastasia and Laura, Kiara and Victoria. Victoria is less than thrilled.
The girls get in their cars and hit the road! Laura wishes Nastasia was a better navigator. Kristin and Brittany arrive at Guess. They like Kristin (who wants to take down Laura) but think Brittany is too “sweet, girl-next-door.” They leave. Kiara and Victoria are next at Guess. Kiara talks about her basketball and Victoria is like “That’s not professional” in her talking head. Kiara seems to impress Guess and we don’t even see Victoria walk.
Laura and Nastasia decide to go maverick and visit Lulu Guinness first. Nastasia impresses there and we don’t hear anything about Laura. Meanwhile, Brittany and Kristin try to flirt with a guy in the next car but he doesn’t respond. They then go to I <3 Ronson. Both girls impress there. Kiara and Victoria go to meet Whitney Port and Victoria is star struck. But she doesn’t go celebrity dumb like I did when I got Peter Davison’s autograph at NY ComicCon. She and Kiara keep talking over each other. Whitney thinks Victoria was trying too hard. Kiara thinks Victoria is being childish.
COMMERCIALS!
Brittany and Kristin get a bit lost. Victoria is deemed too “bony” for I <3 Ronson. And Laura and Nastasia get a surprise when they meet Cecilia Cassini, who is 13 years-old. They walk and she asks them to pose. As they finish up, Kiara and Victoria show up. Meanwhile, Brittany and Kristin try to decipher parking signs. Back at Cecilia, Kiara talks to her as if she were talking to her little sister. Victoria says it was easy to talk to Cecilia. And then we see awkward silence plus the return of the cricket noise. Cecilia thinks Victoria was trying to be too much like Kiara.
They fly by the some of the go-sees. Kiara and Victoria return to BigBox. We see Brittany impress Lulu Guinness while Laura and Nastasia go see Whitney Port. Brittany and Kristin return to BigBox while Laura realizes she has no time to see Guess. She’s disappointed because she wanted to visit them. She even starts crying and Nastasia’s like “Can we do this in the car?”
COMMERCIALS!
Anyway, Laura decides to go to Guess anyway. She impresses them there and she and Nastasia get back with a second to spare. Kelly talks to the girls. Markus helps deliver the feedback. Kristin: Beautiful but stiff. Brittany: Good energy but needs a little more model practice. Laura: Statuesque but had a stiff walk. Nastasia: They liked her photgraphs but not so much in person. Kiara: Designers loved her but walk needs work. Victoria: Good manners but didn’t fit some brands. So who booked what?
Cecilia Cassini: Kiara
Lulu Guinness: Nastasia
I <3 Ronson: Kristin
Whitney Port: Laura
Guess: Laura
So Laura wins the challenge again and she’s happy she got Guess. Brittany is devastated she didn’t book anything. The girls are dismissed to go to dinner. Victoria is not looking forward to it. They eat but Victoria goes on about how she thought she did well and everyone is like “Shut. Up.”
And then P’Trique shows up. TYRA MAIL! “A top model knows her best angles so make sure you stay in line and keep a straight face.” He then runs out.
At home, Laura goes to look at the clothing she won in the challenge. Kristin is determined to beat Laura, who wonders why Kristin is glaring at her.
The next day, the model mobile takes the girls to a place where cops are waiting for them. A corrections officer tells the girls to get off the bus, form a single line and follow her. Kiara sees the prison and calls it her worst nightmare. They are thrown behind bars as Johnny tells someone to book them. And they are booked! Johnny gives a PSA voiceover about how going to prison isn’t glamorous. But they are going to make it look like it!
Anyway, they are doing 50’s style fashion mug shots with photographer Mark “Cobra Snake” Hunter. That’s…disarming. Brittany wants to “wow” him and the girls are sent to hair and makeup. We learn why this is Kiara’s worst nightmare—she has a criminal record. She was arrested for shoplifting and told no one about it. Until now. She cries as she recounts her tale and some girls notice she’s nervous.
Victoria, meanwhile, is still upset over not booking anything and still thinks she’s a victim in the whole “eating disorder” thing. Victoria comes in talking about not being able to drink anymore until it’s revealed she’s playing a shoplifter. Oops. She is determined to stay in character and Johnny calls her out-of-control. Kristin’s like “She’s crazy.”
COMMERCIALS!
When we come back, Johnny talks about how Victoria gets too intense. He reigns her in and then we see Laura up next. She’s a speeder and hopes this redeems her after last week. Johnny and Cobra like her shoot. Kristin struggles with keeping her eyes open. I know I’m watching this online after the episode but I swear I didn’t look up to see who was eliminated. So I’m calling Kristin right now.
Brittany wants to do well. She’s been arrested for indecent exposure. Laura thinks she is cracking. Johnny calls her beautiful but wants to see an edge to Brittany. Nastasia is next with assault. Johnny praises her legs and how she’s working her body. Kiara is last and is up for drug possession. Johnny thinks she’s holding back and goes to talk to her. He tells her to loosen up so she starts cursing. Okay. The other girls are a little frightened and Brittany wonders how Cobra got a shoot. But Kiara’s energy is back.
That’s a wrap!
At home, they get the message that someone’s going home. Kiara says the shoot was emotional for her. She hopes she got a good shot. Brittany and Laura discuss who is at risk. Brittany thinks Kristin and Kiara. She’s nervous about the girl who comes back.
COMMERCIALS!
LA! The girls arrive at panel after a picture of Rob and Tyra as Bonnie and Clyde…I think. There are judges—Kelly Cutrone, Rob Evans and Bryanboy. There are prizes. Kristin is up first and notes she booked I <3 Ronson, which she said was a surprise. Tyra reveals her picture. Kelly likes it. Rob calls it high fashion while Tyra wanted her to work her body more. Kristin said it was difficult because it was waist up but Tyra calls it an excuse. Kelly and Rob give her 8’s and Tyra gives her a 7. Nastasia follows and reveals she booked Lulu Guinness. Kelly and Rob aren’t fans of her eyes in her photo. Tyra likes it, as does Bryanboy. But social media—not so much. Kelly and Rob give her 7’s while Tyra gives her an 8. Victoria follows. Tyra asks about the go-sees and Victoria goes into how she felt she was professional and strong. Tyra cuts her off and forces Victoria to reveal she booked nada. Kelly doesn’t see fashion in Victoria’s shot. Rob doesn’t like it but thinks she took chances. Tyra agrees but thinks she needed more spark in her eyes. Victoria cuts off Bryanboy to tell the panel she was being bullied. So the panel scolds the other girls who are like “We’re seriously worried about her and now we’re bullies?” Tyra gives her an 8, Rob a 7 and Kelly a 6.
After the other girls give Victoria the stink eye, Kiara is next. She talks about booking Cecilia Cassini. As for her photo, Kelly thinks she looks older in her shot. Rob likes the shot as does Bryanboy. Social media…not so much. Kelly gives her a 7 while Tyra and Rob give her 9’s. But Tyra notes Kiara lost her neck. So she drops it to a 7. Brittany is next and comes right out with the fact she didn’t book anything. Tyra thanks her while Kelly says she finds it odd. Rob and Kelly are disappointed in her shot. Bryanboy says her fans are carrying her. Tyra gives her a 7 on her body of work. Kelly gives her a 6 and Rob a 5. Laura is last and celebrates her challenge win (Guess and Whitney Port, in case you forgot). The judges are impressed. And Kelly loves her photograph. Tyra and Rob say it’s a compliment to look better in pictures than in person. Bryanboy says social media loves Laura but he doesn’t see what they see. Tyra says he’s used to high fashion and Laura looks commercial at panel. So no makeup next week. You figure that out. She gets 9’s across the board. The judges need to deliberate.
COMMERCIALS!
ELIMINATION! Best photo this week goes to…Laura. She is joined by: Kristin (damn it), Kiara, and Nastasia. That leaves Brittany and Victoria as our bottom two. Both girls didn’t book jobs. Victoria: A model who can bring character to a photo but is inconsistent. Brittany: Struggled to be someone and went with the sweet girl but let go. So who stays? Victoria. Damn it. Tyra tells Brittany to never forget she is the sweet, Disney girl because it makes her a better model. In her exit interview, Brittany quotes Walt Disney.
Well, it may not be her exit interview. Because Tyra reveals this is the moment of truth—time to reveal the “Comeback Girl.” The other eliminated girls re-enter and Brittany joins them. We then fade out without the reveal. Cliffhanger, guys!
America’s Next Top Model:
Kristin
Laura
Victoria
*Contestant quit competition
Man, red herring editing. I thought Kristin was a goner but then they sent my favorite home. And I think she’ s going home as I still think Leila is the one coming back in. I’m not sure what’s going on with Victoria. On one hand, yeah, it seems the girls are ganging up on her. On the other hand, it seems Victoria is trying to paint herself a victim and uses a hot topic—bullying—in order to disguise the fact she was making excuses. And we know how much Tyra hates excuses.
Next week: Who is coming back? And going to Jamaica?

“I’ve been cooped up in a house full of chicks!”—Brittany, after failed flirting attempt

This season of ANTM has to have been the most cat-fight ridden season ever. There is some real immaturity going on here for sure and some girls shouldn’t be calling others out about it. They all act like they’re in middle school sometimes. I thought that Kiara’s interaction with Cecilia was uncalled for. Age in this business has nothing to do with know how. I’ve been recording the entire season on my Hopper and the timer makes sure I catch every episode each week. I thought that the photo shoot went well but that Kiara looked like she wasn’t interested in the shoot at all. Her expression and pose are lazy. My DISH co-worker is still rooting for her but we will see how long she lasts. Personally I like Victoria’s weirdness and I love that sometimes she is way over the top.
